Indigo does not require mordant.
Tannin-rich vegetable dyes also work spontaneously β for extra rich colors, we recommend a stain.
For all other plant dyes, a stain is optimal.
Please return freshly washed items at least 48 hours in advance.

FAQ
What is pickling?
The stain helps your colors stay vibrant β even after many washes.
Indigo doesn't require a mordant. Tannin-rich vegetable dyes work without it, but with a mordant, the color becomes even richer.
The stain is ideal for all other plant dyes.
Please return your items freshly washed and at least 48 hours in advance.
